To ensure isolation and long term production of monoclonal antibody, it is necessary to immortalized cells from the immune system producing naturally these antibodies.
Hybridomas are immortalized cells producing monoclonal antibodies. They result from the fusion between a myeloma immortalized cell line and a monoclonal antibody producing cell. The hybridomas generated can be isolated and maintained to characterized the monoclonal antibody they produce
At Delphi Genetics we provide a hybridoma generation service from spleen or lymph node cells. After the fusion, hybridomas are selected in 96 wells plates and the medium supernatants are tested for antibody production against the antigen of interest.
The selected hybridomas are then sub-cloned and tested for antibody quantity and quality production.
